This is not my first time to visit this place, but this is the time i appreciate the beauty and wonders of the Island. It’s more than just the beach and white sand, breath taking sunset, night life, fun and adventure. It’s a total package to relax, forget about backlogs, and leave those stressful life behind.
Last August 24-25 was the 14th PSITS-WV IT Congress held at Boracay, it was the gathering of all IT Students in Western Visayas. Being one of the Board of Director of PSITE-WV, i was tasked to help organize the event. During the two-day event we where so busy preparing and never had a chance to explore the Island, and aside from the fact that the weather was so unpredictable.
We stayed at Ecovillage Resort, although it was kinda far from the beach, but it was a quite and private place, with a very good accommodation and amenities.
After the event, I took the chance to explore the island, thanks to the long weekend and a good weather for i have extended my stay. Although it’s an off peak season, but you will not notice it. There are still a lot of tourists roaming around the busy streets, some spent their long holiday vacation, and the usual thing you will find in Boracay.
I enjoy my photowalk taking pictures of the beach, boracay babes, fire dance, and of course the sunset. I almost waited for two days for the sunset, and at last i found it on my last day, when the weather was friendly.
I always see Boracay as just a beach, until my good friend Jeffrey Clarin invited me to visit Mt. Luho. I was amazed seeing the top view of the whole island. Mount Luho is the highest point in Boracay and one of their tourist attractions that rises up to an altitude of 100 meters above sea level. It is a small mountain with a viewing deck. This is where i appreciated the Island. Boracay Island isn’t just about beach fun and water sports, you can also enjoy adventure hiking or driving on a buggy car. They also have a mini zoo and zip line adventure.
It was a wonderful experience, and i will surely return back to the Island who captured my heart. I Love Boracay.
