Having fun with SimSimi

Just recently, i have seen some posts on Facebook about this SimSimi Apps. SimSimi is a chatting robot that makes amusing conversation to engage with users and even respond rude conversations. I just tried it and it drives me crazy about its responses. You can ask any question and this apps answered you quickly, in multiple languages.

Here is a sample conversation that i tried to ask.

How this apps respond so quickly? And how it works?

SimSimi’s vocabulary grows by user’s input. You can teach SimSimi your own words as other users teach their own ones too.  If SimSimi has no data to answer your former message, it will say ‘I HAVE NO RESPONSE’. Then you might select the ‘TEACH’ tab and instruct it your own words in a paired form of ‘request & response’. Once you teach SimSimi a pair of words, it will make a response with those words immediately (approx. 3 minutes).

SimSimi was originally developed to be a fun and friendly chatting robot. Things SimSimi says are totally taught by users and not intended by the developer. This means there are some abusers that are making SimSimi to say nasty words.

The app has led to controversy and protests in some places for some of its responses containing profanity and criticisms of leading politicians, just like what i have asked about Pinoy. Some parents also complained about this apps downloaded by their children which also learned rude languages from this robot.

This apps can be downloaded for free and is available on multiple platforms, for iPhone and Android devices and computers. If you want to give a try, just visit http://simsimi.com/talk.htm.

I chat with this robot in times i want to laugh, when i am stressed, bored and nothing to do. Just to have fun. :-)
